Chief exec named for The Chesapeake

Virginia Baptist Homes is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark T. Woodard to the position of executive director of The Chesapeake, its lifecare retirement community located in Newport News. For the last several years, Woodard served as a senior human resource management consultant with Goodman & Company. Previously, he held management positions with Riverside Health System and Virginia Health Systems. Since 2001, he has served as a member of the board of trustees of Virginia Baptist Homes.

CULPEPER -- The Supreme Court of Virginia will hear the appeal of Virginia Baptist Homes in its case related to the suit brought against it by Botetourt County for the payment of property taxes on The Glebe, the Homes' newest retirement community near Roanoke.
