Bill Webb, editor of the Missouri Baptist newspaper Word and Way, is recovering in a hospital from serious injuries sustained May 12 in a cycling accident in Jefferson City, Mo.
A veteran Baptist journalist who came to Word and Way in 1996, Webb took the brunt of a fall to the face and head. He will complete some rehabilitation, and is expected to fully recover.
“We are so grateful especially for all the prayers on Bill’s behalf, and for the emails and text messages we have received,” Webb’s wife, Susan, said. “Everyone has been such an encouragement and blessing to us.”
Webb, who worked previously as editor of the Illinois Baptist and as a staff writer for the Foreign (now International) Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, is a member of the Associated Baptist Press board of directors by virtue of Word and Way‘s partnership with ABP and two other Baptist newspapers called New Voice Media.
