STAFF CHANGES

• Charles Davis, serving as pastor of Bethesda Church, Boydton. This was incorrect in our last issue.

• Dan Carlton, to Downtown Church, Alexandria, as senior pastor.

• Glen A. Land, to Rivermont Avenue Church, Lynchburg, effective Feb. 27.

MISSION MOMENT: Holland Baptist Church in Suffolk recently participated in a blankets mission project. During Bible school, money was raised to purchase blanket kits. During the fall months the GAs and Acteens completed 25 blankets that were sent to the Bland Ministry Center.

• Jim Anderson, to Brick Church, Castlewood, as pastor.

• Joseph Womack, now serving as pastor of Floyd Church, Floyd.

• Frank Fishback, to Long Branch Church, The Plains, as pastor.

• Mark Bryant, to Marshall Church, Marshall, as pastor.

• Matt McCraney, to Rock Hill Church, Stafford, as pastor.

• Ben Munford, concluding his ministry as pastor of Oak Hall Church, Sandston.

• Alan Moor, to Rosedale Church, Rosedale, as interim pastor.

• Bruce Queen, to Culpeper Church, Culpeper, as intentional interm pastor.

• Tom Doubt, to Oak Hall Church, Sandston, as transitional pastor.

• Felicia Taylor, to Rhoadesville Church, Rhoadsville, as minister of youth and young adults.

• Sharon Colgin, to Webber Memorial Church, Richmond, as director of children’s ministries.

• Joseph Mendez, to Fairfax Church, Fairfax, as youth director.

• Kevin Gibson, resigning as minister of music at Webber Memorial Church, Richmond, to serve as worship minister at New Venture Christian Church, Midlothian.

RETIREMENT

• Robert K. Brubaker Sr.  has retired as pastor of First Church, Lynchburg, after serving there for 40 years.

OTHER

• Sports Illustrated has published a National Signing Day ranking of college football recruits from the nation’s top prep schools (compiled by JC Shurburtt of 247Sports.com). Fork Union Military Academy  players hold nine of the top 20 spots.

• The Virginia Baptist All-State Choirs will present a free concert on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. at Derbyshire Baptist Church in Richmond. Guest directors will be John Simons, Treble One Choir; Susan Deal, Treble Two Choir; and Alicia Walker, Mixed Chorus.
