NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Chuck Harrison, pastor of Crossroads Community Church in Yorktown, Va., has been elected director of missions for Virginia’s Peninsula Baptist Association, effective Dec. 1.
The Peninsula Association, which partners with the Baptist General Association of Virginia, is a network of 63 congregations in James City and York counties and the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson and Williamsburg.
A Norfolk, Va., native, Harrison has served on the staffs of churches in Richmond, Va., and Virginia Beach, Va., and for six years was congregational missionary for the Norfolk Baptist Association, where he was a consultant, coach and trainer for church planters and pastors of turnaround churches.
He is a graduate of Old Dominion University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
