STAFF CHANGES

• Woody Jenkins, to Elk Creek Church, Mineral, as pastor.

• David C. Cromer, to Corrottoman Church, Lancaster, as pastor.

• John Mann, to Concord Church, Chase City, as pastor.

• Carey Snellings, to Hunting Creek Church, Big Island, as pastor.

• Micah Voight, to Western Branch Church, Suffolk, as pastor.

• Woody Fisher, to Burkeville Church, Burkeville, as pastor.

• Ted Fuson, concluding his pastorate at Culpeper Church, Culpeper.

• Andy Barnes, to First Church, Gate City, as interim pastor.

• David Kephart, resigning as youth minister at First Church, Bluefield, WV.

• Kenny Carter, concluding his ministry as minister of music/associate pastor at Powers Memorial Church, Hopewell. He had served there for over 13 years.

• Jeff Ukrop, to Gayton Church, Richmond, as interim youth minister.

• Phillip Barton, resigning as associate pastor at Hunton Church, Glen Allen, to accept a pastorate in North Carolina.

RETIREMENT

• Bob Millis has announced plans to retire as pastor of Hollywood Church, Appomattox, effective June 6.

DEATH

• Retired Virginia Baptist minister William “Bill” Roswell Snead died April 24 at the age of 87. He had served as pastor of Oak Grove Church, Richmond, and as pastor simultaneously of Stevensburg Church in Stevensburg, and Lael and Brandy churches in Culpeper. He had also served as administrator of the Virginia Baptist Home in Culpeper. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Peck Snead; a daughter, Ann S. Woodbridge; two sons, Bill and David Snead; and two grandsons. 

REVIVALS & HOMECOMINGS

• Chatham Heights Church, Martinsville; homecoming May 16; Tim Madison, president of the BGAV, guest speaker; lunch following the service.

• Iron Gate Church, Iron Gate; revival May 16-19; Roger Roller, evangelist.

• Powers Memorial Church, Hopewell; revival May 23-26; Roger Roller, evangelist.

• Webber Memorial Church, Richmond; homecoming June 7; Fred Anderson portraying William Webber as guest speaker; old-fashioned lunch on the lawn at 12 noon.

CHURCH NEWS

• Dogwood Church, Gum Spring, will host gospel group 4TheLord in concert on May 16 at 6 p.m.
