FamilyNet Television, a faith-based cable channel operated by the Southern Baptist Convention's North American Mission Board, joined the Cox Communications cable line-up in the Hampton Roads area on Jan. 27.
FamilyNet will be seen on channel 260 which serves Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, Gloucester, West Point and King and Queen, New Kent, James City and York counties.
FamilyNet Television carries family-friendly programs, including live interviews from its Fort Worth, Texas, studios; news and current events with public policy experts Janet Parshall and Jay Sekulow; music specials; classic movies and TV series, along with original children's shows; documentaries; and Sunday worship services from churches around the country.
FamilyNet also offers entertainment programs featuring comedians such as Dennis Swanberg, Ken Davis and Chonda Pierce, and music artists such as the Gaither Vocal Band, Michael W. Smith and John Tesh.
