• Charles W. Gibson, to Glen Allen Church, Glen Allen, as intentional interim pastor, effective March 27.

• John Royer, now serving as minister of visitation at Central Church, Richmond.

• Bon Air Church, Richmond, will host The Slack Family Bluegrass Band at its Agapé Café coffeehouse for singles on Friday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m.

• Chancellor Church, Fredericksburg, will host Gary Slayton in concert on April 3 at 7:00 p.m. Gary was raised in Williamsburg and is an accomplished, Nashville-based singer, songwriter and guitarist.

• Fairview Church, Fredericksburg, will hold its Spring 2005 Women's Conference, “When Women Need Rest,” April 8-9 led by author and speaker Cindi McMenamin. Registration is necessary by April 6. Contact the church at 540-373-8377.

• First Church, Winchester, will host the Bridgewater College Concert Choir on April 3 at 3:00 p.m.

• The music ministry of Hatcher Memorial Church, Richmond, will present its spring musical, “Lift Up Your Eyes,” on April 10 at 6:00 p.m.

• The music ministry of Liberty Church, Appomattox, will present “The Passion: Journey to the Cross” on Friday, March 25 at 7:00 p.m.

• Mount Ararat Church, Stafford, will host a “Mighty Men of Valor” Conference April 8-9. Paul Freed, founder of the “Mighty Men of God Ministry” will lead this conference. For additional information, contact the church at 540-659-2554.

OTHER

• Neal Sasser of Suffolk was recently endorsed as chaplain by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. He serves as chaplain for the Maryview Medical Center and is a board certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains.
