Has your congregation embraced the concept of gift-based ministry? Are you wondering how to assess spiritual gifts and how to help people find their ministry niche? Get down to the nitty-gritty of gift-based ministry in this workshop. Laity and ministers are invited to Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 7.
In “Discovery and Connection Processes of Gift-Based Ministry,” you will learn the process of using discovery conversations and ministry chats to help people find their unique place in ministry. You will have the opportunity to examine a variety of spiritual gift assessment tools, learn how to develop ministry descriptions, and discuss placement methods.
For more information or to register, contact Lisa McGehee at 1-888-339-2877 (toll-free) or at [email protected]. Registration for the workshop is $60 (includes lunch and planning resources). Scholarships are available to cover 50 percent of the registration fee.
Eugenia Freiburger, gift-based ministry consultant and minister for service and lay leadership at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Glen Allen, will lead the workshop.
