STAFF CHANGES

Daniel “Danny” W. Davis, to Mount Hermon Church, Danville, as pastor.

John Huelskoetter, to Yorktown Church, Yorktown, as pastor.

John Nedza, completing his ministry as pastor of Trinity Church, Louisa.

Bob Cornwell, resigning as pastor of First Church, Big Stone Gap.

Mike Copple, resigning as pastor of Dundas Church, Dundas, to accept a position in Florida.

Holly Irvin, resiging as minister of music and youth at Monument Heights Church, Richmond, to assume the position of minister of music at Morningside Church, Spartansburg, S.C.

Lonnie Brawley, to Chester Church, Chester, as minister to youth.

Jared Cullum, to Bethany Church, Woodford, as part-time minister of children and youth.

ORDINATION

Dorryce Ann Rudd, director of visitation and senior adult ministries at Branch's Church, Richmond, was ordained to the gospel ministry by the church on July 23.

CHURCH NEWS

First Church, Richmond, will conduct a world festival of culture, “The Global Gala,” on Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities include a children's carnival, a world marketplace, international food tasting and entertainment from Liberia, Slovakia, Brazil and China. Admission is free. For details call 804-355-8637.

Mineral Church, Mineral, and the family of Jordan Henshaw will hold a memorial dedication service of Jordan's Path on Oct. 15 following the worship service.

Gethsemane Church, Richlands, named Stafford Compton as pastor emeritus on Sept. 17. He was presented with a plaque listing the 21 churches he has served.
