Clayton Sweet, resigning as pastor of New Hope Chapel, Pulaski. He and his wife Wanda, who was church organist, served New Hope for 22 years.

RETIREMENT
James Anderson is retiring as pastor of Faith Church, Hampton, effective Aug. 27. He and his wife, Janie, will be honored with a reception following the morning service and there will be a 6:30 p.m. concert by Anderson and music director, Kathy Heath.
CHURCH NEWS
Emmaus Church, Quinton, will celebrate its 230th anniversary Aug. 6 with homecoming. The 11 a.m. service will be followed by dinner.
Pine Chapel Church, Hampton, named Frank Earwood as pastor emeritus on June 4. Friends and members from three of his previous pastorates attended the special service in his honor.
Rhoadesville Church, Rhoadesville, will celebrate homecoming Aug. 13 at 11 a.m. with lunch following the service. Revival services will be held Aug. 14-16 with Michael Clingenpeel as guest evangelist.
Shiloh Church, King George, will kickoff its 150th anniversary celebration with homecoming on Aug. 6. Fred Anderson will be guest speaker at the 11 a.m. service which will be followed by a homecoming meal. Revival will be Aug. 7-9 with Roger Roller as guest evangelist.
Zoan Church, Fredericksburg, will celebrate homecoming on Aug. 6. Jesse Booth will bring the message at the 11 a.m. service which will be followed by a covered-dish dinner.
