Ty Campbell's letter regarding “not talking about it” reminded me of why I look forward instead of to the past.
Mrs. Jessee's letter that he spoke of was addressed to me. Her response was that personnel issues could not be discussed, and I respect those who obey God's laws and the laws enacted by man.
Crossroads Camp and Conference Center is a place where groups of all ages are able to go for meetings, conferences, retreats, training sessions and camp activities. It is a place where each year children, youth and adults accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is a place where many make decisions to go to the mission field. Campers return year after year, and many return as counselors.
As I drive up the mountain to Crossroads, I am wrapped in God's presence, and as I come back down that road I am more joyful than when I traveled there. What a wonderful place it is for those who are sad, ill, lonely or just needing time with God to experience the joy of his presence, to learn of his love and to be able to leave Crossroads with a desire to share that love!
What began as a summer camp for girls has grown to encompass all of God's people, and I look forward to Crossroad's future of being all that it can be.
