• Kerim Meono was ordained to the gospel ministry by Columbia Church, Falls Church, July 6. He serves as one of the pastors of Columbia's Comunidad Hispana congregation.

GREAT AMERICAN BACKYARD CAMPOUT
• Ginter Park Baptist Church in Richmond partnered with the National Wildlife Federation to host Great American Backyard Campout on
June 28-29. About 150 people attended this event with activities that included archery, fishing/casting, outdoor cooking, beekeeping, a jump castle and fish pond for ages five and under. A hot dog dinner was prepared by church members. Royce Woolfolk III, a Scout from Ginter Park, worked on his leadership badge for Eagle Scout rank at the event leading Scouts and parents in preparation for and during the campout. Campers and leaders roasted marshmellows. Lee Gallman, pastor of Ginter Park Church, conducted two worship services on Sunday, including a campfire worship followed by a hot breakfast.
