RICHMOND — The Virginia Baptist Mission Board and Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia are hosting a series of dialogues across the state focused on alleviating hunger.
The dialogues are designed to open doors to new ideas, ministries, networks and resources to help Virginia Baptists combat hunger.
In the current economic climate, the Virginia Baptist food pantries and related ministries are stretched beyond their capacities. “ We are hoping that these dialogues will not only allow churches to share about their current ministries but to learn how to resource each other and form new ministries beyond simple food distribution,” said Dean Miller, who is helping to coordinate the dialogues.
All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting of their choice. There is no cost to attend but registration is requested to help with planning. Please contact Lynn Alexander at [email protected] to register. For questions contact Dean Miller at [email protected] or Maria Lynn at [email protected].
