The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is sponsoring a series of classes designed to strengthen believers' faith and equip them with the knowledge and confidence to tell others about their beliefs.
The Christian Life and Witness Course is open free of charge to people of all church affiliations. Participants attend one class per week for five weeks beginning the week of Feb. 26 and concluding in March. The classes will be offered throughout Hampton Roads at multiple locations and times, including morning and evening hours. Attendees can pick the class each week that best fits their schedule.
Classes for youth, called “Gravity,” also will be offered for students from middle school through college.
In addition to offering faith-building training, the classes will give participants the option of applying to become counselors during the Greater Hampton Roads Franklin Graham Festival, to be held May 18-20 at the Norfolk Scope Arena.
“The Christian Life and Witness Course is a tremendous opportunity to bolster our faith and to give us a solid foundation for sharing with others,” said Paul Van Valin, president of Eden Counseling Ministries and executive chair of the Franklin Graham Festival. “It's natural for all of us to want to tell someone when we receive a special gift, but sometimes, we feel we lack the confidence or knowledge to share our faith. This course will help prepare us.”
