acres on Virginia Beach Blvd. As the church was
financially able, it built on the property. The current sanctuary seats 1,150 people and was built in 1980. One thousand people attended the June 24 anniversary service which featured brief messages from four of its former ministers, including William Smith, Junius Foster, Larry Harper and Mark Olson, as well as David Moshier, son of its first minister, Irwin “Bud” Moshier, and current Pastor Prentis McGoldrick. Twelve charter members who are still active at Thalia Lynn were recognized. Following the anniversary service was a great Baptist tradition–a fried chicken luncheon. A church history has been written by Lillian Duggan and is available through the church office.
