• Tom Parker, resigning as pastor of Oak Grove Church, Cana.

• Greg Compton, resigning as senior pastor of Mechanicsville Church, Gordonsville.

• Malcolm M. Hutton Sr., to Fine Creek Church, Powhatan, as interim pastor.

• Bryan Dupuis, to Cool Spring Church, Mechanicsville, as senior high and college age minister.

RETIREMENTS

• Don Stewart has retired as pastor of Mattaponi Indian Baptist Church, King and Queen.

• Bob W. Lanier has retired as associate pastor at Salem Church, Salem.

BLANKETS FOR LEE COUNTY: The Carrie Rose Ellen Circle at Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Beaverdam recently made 30 fleece blankets for babies in Lee County, Virginia. The blankets were delivered to Powell River Baptist Association, Jonesville, for distribution. ORDINATION

• Doug Hayes, minister to students at Franklin Heights Church, Rocky Mount, was ordained to the gospel ministry by the church on Nov. 18.

CHURCH EVENT

• Black Creek Church, Mechanicsville, will host visiting orphans from Ukraine who will perform the classic Christmas musical, “The Old Russian Shoemaker,” on Mon., Nov. 26 at 6:30 p.m. For more information call the church at 804-781-0330.
