JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (ABP) — Rob Marus has left his position as managing editor of Associated Baptist Press.
David Wilkinson, ABP's executive director, said Marus' departure, effective Jan. 15, was an outgrowth of a "rigorous assessment" of the news organization's priorities and strategic direction.
"Rob is a gifted person, a committed Christian and a talented journalist," said Wilkinson. "We are deeply grateful to Rob for his years of service and his commitment to the mission of ABP as an autonomous source of news and information for Baptists and other Christians."
Marus also managed ABP's Washington, D.C., news bureau. He had been a member of ABP's staff since 2001.
