STAFF CHANGES

H. B. Jackie Allen Jr., to Grassfield Baptist Church, Chesapeake, Va., as interim pastor.

Caleb Bittler, resigning as associate pastor at First Baptist Church, Princeton, W. Va.

Robert Carpenter, to Courtland (Va.) Baptist Church, as interim pastor.

Alan Collier, to Dryden (Va.) Baptist Church, as pastor.

Emmett Dunn, resigning after 22 years as director of the Baptist World Alliance Youth Department, effective July 31. He will become pastor of West Hyattsville Baptist Church, Hyattsville, Md., on Aug. 1.

Brian Foreman, to Campbell University, Buies Creek, N.C., as founding director of the University’s new youth theology institute, Fides: Exploring Faith & Vocation, effective May 2. He is president and founder of B4Man Consulting, an adjunct professor with Campbell Divinity School and a curriculum writer for a consortium of young ministers. He has also served as minister to students and families at Providence Baptist Church, Charlotte, N.C.

Joe LaGuardia, to First Baptist Church, Vero Beach, Fla., as pastor, effective May 22. He comes from the pastorate of Trinity Baptist Church, Conyers, Ga.

Brian and Ashley Harrington, to Starling Avenue Baptist Church, Martinsville, Va., as co-pastors. He comes from the pastorate of First Baptist Church, Liberty, N.C.

Christi S. Hollifield, to First Baptist Church, Marion, N.C., as director of children’s ministry.

L. Gregory Jones, to Baylor University, Waco, Texas, as executive vice president and provost, effective May 16. Currently he is senior strategist for leadership education at Duke Divinity School and the Ruth W. and A. Morris Williams Jr. professor of theology and Christian ministry.

Susan Pendleton Jones, to Baylor University, Waco, Texas, as senior fellow in the Institute for Faith and Learning. She currently is associate dean for ministerial formation at Duke Divinity School, Durham, N.C.

Jamie McLanahan, concluding his tenure as pastor of Greenville (Va.) Baptist Church.

J. Michael “Mickey” Robertson, to Elk Creek Baptist Church, Mineral, Va., as pastor.

Jeff Rogers, to First Baptist Church, Asheville, N.C., as interim preacher, effective May 29.

Laura Ross, to First Baptist Church, Ashland, Va., as children’s pastor.

Charles D. Stewart, to Marion (Va.) Baptist Church, as senior pastor. He comes from the pastorate of Haymarket (Va.) Baptist Church.

Joe Woolridge, to New Vision Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, Va., as pastor. 

RETIREMENTS

Bill Alphin, retiring as associate for church development for Dover Baptist Association, Ashland, Va., effective May 31.

Paul Armes, retiring as president of Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, Texas, where he has served since 2001.

Larry Coleman, retiring as senior pastor of Churchland Baptist Church, Chesapeake, Va., effective April 30.

Larry Knowles, retiring as associate pastor of Masonboro (N.C.) Baptist Church.

Baxter Wynn, retiring as minister of pastoral care and community relations at First Baptist Church, Grenville, S.C 

ORDINATION

Parker Ebling-Artz, ordained to ministry on April 24 by First Baptist Church, Decatur, Ga., where he serves as worship leader.

Cathi Feldpausch, as senior pastor of Wellspring Church, Farmington Hills Mich., on April 17.
