RETIREMENT
Brad Hill, retiring after 18 years as pastor to the deaf at West Hampton Baptist Church, Hampton, Va.
ORDINATION
Stefanie Litzler, ordained to ministry on Nov. 13 by Shearer Hills Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas, where she serves as children’s minister.
DEATH
Paul Duaine Eppinger, 83, died Nov. 10, in Arizona. He was an American Baptist pastor who dedicated his life to peacemaking and reaching society’s most marginalized. He served as a missionary to Japan and held pastorates in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Kansas and Arizona. He was instrumental in the founding of the Arizona Interfaith Movement, an organization of 24 religious groups, which he led for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Sybil; four daughters; two granddaughters and four grandsons.
