Bluefield College recently welcomed a new vice president to manage recruitment and enrollment initiatives for the school. Toby Ziglar, an admissions director and former college professor and pastor with strong ties to Virginia Baptists, joined the BC family Aug. 1 as the new vice president for enrollment management.
Ziglar came to Bluefield College from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C., where he had served as director of admissions for the university's M. Christopher White School of Divinity.
Before Gardner-Webb, Ziglar was an assistant professor of religion at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn., and an instructor of religion at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C. His experience also includes 10 years as a Baptist pastor in Kentucky and South Carolina.
Ziglar holds doctor of philosophy and master of divinity degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a bachelor's degree from Samford University. He and his wife, Laura, have three children.
