(ABP) — Recent McAfee School of Theology graduate Charles Watson Jr. has been named education and outreach specialist for the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty.
A native of Millen, Ga., Watson previously worked as children’s director at Buckhead Baptist Church in Atlanta and served as a hospice chaplain. He is a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force and a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship-endorsed chaplain.
“Charles brings a unique skill set to the Baptist Joint Committee,” said BJC Executive Director Brent Walker. “His work will be focused on expanding the base of support for religious liberty and engaging the next generation of advocates.”
