ATLANTA (ABP) — The officers of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship's governing Coordinating Council have appointed a seven-member search committee to fill the position of Global Missions coordinator, a position vacated by Barbara Baldridge June 1. Jack Snell, Global Missions associate coordinator for field ministries, is currently serving as acting coordinator.
The newly elected search committee members are:
— Tim Brendle, committee chair. Brendle, of Richmond, Va., is a retired pastor, former missionary and missions administrator.
— Jana Benjamin, of Tullahoma, Tenn., is a member of King's Cross Church and a former missionary in Hong Kong, Macau and the Philippines.
— Rusty Brock, of Ardmore, Okla., is the pastor of Northwest Baptist Church.
— Frank Broome, of Macon, Ga., is coordinator of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia, a position he has held since 1997.
— Beth Fogg, of Richmond, Va., is a member of Second Baptist Church.
— Harriet Harral, of Fort Worth, Texas, is principal of The Harral Group, specializing in organizational effectiveness and communication. She also is chair of the deacons at Broadway Baptist Church.
— Earl Martin, of Jefferson City, Tenn., is senior professor of missions at Carson-Newman College. He is a former pastor and Baptist missionary for 32 years in Africa and Europe.
