Death
Former Virginia Baptist pastor and pastor emeritus of Dover Church, Manakin Sabot, William R. Hollis, died in Richmond on Dec. 13 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Hollis; four children, Lawrence T. Hollis, Sheryl A. Saboff, Kim L. Gibson and William K. Hollis; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Hollis; and a sister, Wilma Booth. A memorial service was held Dec. 16 at Bon Air Church, Richmond.

North Bedford Church, Forest, hosted a reception on Dec. 4 for its pastor, Charles Stinson, in honor of his retirement as pastor following 35 years of ministry.
