Death
Former Virginia Baptist pastor James Durwood “Dickie” Nicholson died on March 12 in Gordonsville at the age of 64. He had served as pastor of Hebron Church in Spotsylvania and Trinity Church in Louisa. He also had been vice moderator of Goshen Association and served as a missionary in Mexico for two years for the association. He is survived by his wife, Linda Breeden Nicholson; two daughters, Inez N. Robbins and Faith L. Nicholson; and two grandchildren. A funeral service was held March 15 at Preddy Funeral Home in Orange.

Church News
New Vision Church, Martinsville, will celebrate homecoming on May 7. Eddie Honeycutt will be guest speaker. The church will host Squire Parsons in concert on May 20 at 7:00 p.m.
Webber Memorial Church, Richmond, celebrates its 85th homecoming June 4. William Gunter will be guest speaker and a picnic will follow the morning service.
