RICHMOND — An eight-member search committee has been named to find a new executive director/treasurer of Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia.
The committee, which held an organizational meeting in early August, was named by WMUV’s board of trustees, said Pat Wright of Williamsburg, the organization’s president.
In April, Laura McDaniel resigned after five years as WMUV executive director to join the staff of the Spence Network, a leadership development organization with ties to Virginia Baptists.
In addition to Wright, other members of the search committee are Becky McKinney of Collinsville, who will serve as chair; Ruth Guill, Richmond; Roxanne Higgins, Clifford; Anna Kissne, Callao; Rhonda Luckie, Lynchburg; Rhonda Marstin, Gretna; and Wanda Pratt, Chesterfield.
“The board of trustees is thankful this group of women has agreed to serve during this important time in the history of WMUV,” said Wright. “They collectively have many years of experience in WMU and will ensure the search process moves forward with integrity as we seek the person God is calling to lead WMUV into the future.
A job description and explanation of the application process will be posted on the WMUV website in the coming weeks, said Wright.
