Virginia Baptists have been asked to help develop a spiritual meditation trail at Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center near Lynchburg.
The Eagle Eyrie Committee, which is planning the conference center’s 50th anniversary celebration this June, has announced a contest to determine the nature of the trail.
“This trail will enhance the spiritual experience of attendees for years to come,” said committee member Kimberly Carter. “We have decided upon a contest to allow for a diversity of approaches and visual experiences from many creative sources.”
Individuals and groups should send their ideas by email to Carter at [email protected]. Each proposal should be entitled “Spiritual Meditation Trail.” The deadline for all proposals is May 15.
Theme topics can be Scriptural, biblical, doctrinal or missional. Guidelines for submitting ideas are available at www.eagleeyrie.org.
The person or persons with the winning proposal will be recognized at the 50th anniversary celebration on June 17.
The Eagle Eyrie Committee is also looking for partners who will help build the trail and secure materials for its completion. Volunteers may contact Eagle Eyrie.
