The emerging leaders team of the Virginia Baptist Mission Board recently visited Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond.
Susan McBride, emerging leaders team leader, led a chapel service, where she urged students to “see clearly the ministry to which God is calling you to serve” and know that Virginia Baptists are partners in ministry with them.
“Virginia Baptists were here when this seminary was formed. Virginia Baptists show up here every day through cooperative ministry gifts and prayers. We are partners with you as you discern where God is calling you and gifting you to serve.”
There was a fellowship luncheon following chapel hosted by the emerging leaders team.
Other team members present were Leslie Straw (adult strategist), Greg Alexander (collegiate strategist), Ken Dibble (youth strategist), Diane Smith (children's strategist), Corey Fields (a BTSR student who serves as an intern with the emerging leaders team).
Dee Whitten and Jeff Cranford (from the empowering leaders team at the Mission Board) were also present to meet with students about church ministry positions.
