Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Shawnee, Kan., held a ceremony Dec. 8 for the first eight graduates of the create Program, a unique master-of-divinity degree program launched in the fall of 2009.
The three-year program groups students in cohorts for 75 credit hours of study, along with immersion experiences to help students connect classroom learning with best ministry practices in the marketplace.
The group, which traveled together to Myanmar, participated in commencement exercises in May pending completion of capstone projects before receiving their diplomas in December.
The ceremony included announcement of a new scholarship fund in memory of Dr. Douglas Green, the husband of seminary President Molly T. Marshall who died in 2010.
