‘One Great Fellowship of Love” is the theme for the annual meeting of the Virginia Baptist Historical Society, to be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, in the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Richmond.
Denton Lotz, general secretary of the Baptist World Alliance, will highlight the forthcoming Centenary Congress of the BWA. The keynote speaker will be Bill J. Leonard, dean and professor of church history at Wake Forest University Divinity School, who will speak on the topic, “Changing a Theology: Baptists, Salvation and Globalism.”
The Society will salute First Baptist Church of Richmond in its 225th anniversary with recognition of its missions heritage.
