Dear Editor:
It is vital that Christians follow sound teachers of the word of God. This decision is as important as any you will make in your life.
Do not follow Al Mohler. Do not give him the keys to your denomination.
This is not a drill. The man is not sound.
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who defended slavery.
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who makes kenotic statements and robs Jesus Christ of his rightful glory.
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who believes the Nicene Creed is “unnecessary.”
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who allows his faculty to teach that the Son of God is eternally inferior to the Father.
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who creates cover for Christological heresy that damns the eternal soul.
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who is more preoccupied with contemporary politics and ensuring women remain out of leadership and pastoral offices in denominational life than the deity of Jesus Christ.
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who was associated with a secret all-whites Southern society.
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who oversees an institution that did not have a single Black trustee until 2018.
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who did not immediately terminate a professor after admitting to having a sexual relationship with a student, but instead allowed him to quietly resign and go on to work at a missions agency.
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who says a thrice-divorced philanderer is a clarion paragon of “moral clarity.”
Do not give the keys to your denomination to a man who proposes a “Truth and Unity” amendment yet diminishes Truth Himself in favor of political headwinds, thereby disrupting the very unity he claims to promote.
