ASHEVILLE — Megan Elizabeth Dibble, 30, daughter of longtime Virginia Baptist youth ministry strategist Ken Dibble and his wife, Sherlyn, died Nov. 30.
A native of Charlotte, Dibble was a graduate of the Collegiate School in Richmond and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After graduation she worked for several Richmond area businesses, most recently in commercial and residential property management, before moving to Asheville.
“Her infectious smile and warm heart endeared her to all who knew her,” said her father, who will retire Dec. 31 after 24 years as youth ministry strategist with the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. “She was quick with a hug and a listening ear. Her inimitable laugh and sparkling blue eyes will be dearly missed by all.”
In addition to her parents, she is survived by grandparents, a great-grandmother and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, at First Baptist Church in Richmond. The family will receive friends after the service in the church’s Boulevard foyer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Richmond Hill Retreat Center at 2209 East Grace St., Richmond 23223.
