ATLANTA (ABP) — Legendary Southern Baptist home missionary Terry Moncrief died Dec. 7 at his suburban Atlanta home following a year-long battle with brain cancer.
Moncrief, 60, was director of Techwood Baptist Center, established to minister in the nation's first public housing project, Techwood Homes. Within the last year, Techwood Baptist Center was renamed Moncrief Baptist Center.
Moncrief is survived by his wife, Rebecca, three daughters, a foster son, and six grandchildren.
A memorial service for Moncrief was scheduled for Dunwoody Baptist Church, Atlanta, on Dec. 10. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Moncrief Baptist Center.
