STAFF CHANGES

• Ray Farrow, to Mine Road Church, Spotsylvania, as pastor.

• Kevin Niles, to Antioch Church, Yale, as pastor. He previously had served as associate pastor.

• Jonathon Waits, to Central Church, Church Road, as pastor.

• John Burnett, to Dinwiddie Church, Dewitt, as pastor.

• David McNew, to Fountain Creek Church, Emporia, as pastor.

• Chris Jenkins, to Unity Church, Prince George, as pastor. He had previously served as associate pastor for youth.

• Robert “Bob” Johnson, resigning as pastor of Black Branch Church, Chase City, to accept a pastorate in North Carolina.

• Billy Dixon, to Critz Church, Critz, as interim pastor.

• Joey Caudill, to Cobham Park Church, Warsaw, as minister of education and youth.

• Karen Searson, to Broadus Memorial Church, Richmond, as minister to children.

• Tim Miller, to New Bridge Church, Sandston, as minister of worship arts.

• Jack Patterson, to St. Stephens Church, St. Stephens Church, as associate pastor.

• Amelia Machen, to Urbanna Church, Urbanna, as director of youth ministries.

ORDINATIONS

• Joe Cornell will be ordained to the gospel ministry by Calvary Church, Danville, on Aug. 24.

• Isreal Gwyn was recently ordained to the gospel ministry by Oak Grove Church, Cana.

• Kerim Meono was ordained to the gospel ministry by Columbia Church, Falls Church, July 6. He serves as one of the pastors of Columbia's Comunidad Hispana congregation.

RETIREMENT

• Alex Roberts has retired as pastor of Unity Church, Prince George.

GREAT AMERICAN BACKYARD CAMPOUT

• Ginter Park Baptist Church in Richmond partnered with the National Wildlife Federation to host Great American Backyard Campout on

June 28-29. About 150 people attended this event with activities that included archery, fishing/casting, outdoor cooking, beekeeping, a jump castle and fish pond for ages five and under. A hot dog dinner was prepared by church members. Royce Woolfolk III, a Scout from Ginter Park, worked on his leadership badge for Eagle Scout rank at the event leading Scouts and parents in preparation for and during the campout. Campers and leaders roasted marshmellows. Lee Gallman, pastor of Ginter Park Church, conducted two worship services on Sunday, including a campfire worship followed by a hot breakfast.
