MISSIONS MOMENT
The Williams Banks WMU Circle of First Baptist Church in Radford recently contributed $550 to the Rick's Institute to purchase livestock for a K-12 school in Liberia. The goal of $500 was exceeded on the last Sunday before the deadline. This missions project was headed by Martha Fleeman, missions in action chairperson. The Williams Banks Circle has a membership of 23. Pictured above are some of its members.

• Greg Jones, resigning associate pastor at Poplar Springs Church, Richmond, to accept a pastorate in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

ORDINATIONS
• David Miller was ordained to the gospel ministry by Rosalind Hills Church, Roanoke, on June 8. He serves as minister of youth at Rosalind Hills.
• Kevin Gibson and Loi Le will be ordained to the gospel ministry by Webber Memorial Church, Richmond, on Sept 17. Kevin serves as minister of music and Loi is associate pastor to students at Webber Memorial.
• Juan Garcia was ordained to the gospel ministry by First Church, Newport News, on Aug. 24. He serves as minister to Hispanics at First Church.
CHURCH NEWS
• Bayside Church, Virginia Beach, will host a “Grace Walk” conference with Steve McVey, beginning Fri., Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. and continuing on Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration fee is $35 per person and includes all conference materials, continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday. OTHER
• The Virginia Baptist Women's Chorale will be in concert Sat., Sept 20 at Westhampton Church, Richmond, at 6:30 p.m. The program includes traditional and contemporary styles of music. The Chorale is composed of ladies from across the state who have music leadership roles in their churches.

MISSIONS MOMENT
Youth from Williamsburg Baptist Church in Williamsburg attended Passport Mission Camp in Boston, Massachusetts, the week of July 14-19. They participated in projects including working with children in the inner city and making repairs, cleaning up and painting at a local service organization. They enjoyed the worship, fellowship and Bible study with other young people from around the country.
