The Baptist General Association of Virginia's Sunday School Summit, set for Sept. 15-16 at Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center, will be a little different this year.
In addition to the always practical age-group workshops, the Summit will offer pastors, staff and Sunday school directors the opportunity to meet and dialogue with pastors and leaders from Virginia churches that have turned their Sunday school around (numerically).
The Ray and Ann Spence Network for Congregational Leadership will conduct a Saturday morning forum with successful church leaders who have led their churches to revitalize their Sunday school. They will share their church success stories and dialogue with leaders about how their experiences might relate to other BGAV churches.
Virginia Baptists has their own Dr. Phyl! Well, actually Dr. Phyllis Milton. Dr. Milton is an adjunct professor, consultant and a certified specialist in brain based learning. Dr. Milton will present the topic, “Seven Rules that Regulate How Our Brain Learns.”
It's not too late to register. Registrations should be made through Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center at www.eagleeyrie.org or at (434) 384-2211.
