Thanks for your recent editorial entitled “SBC continues its snub of the BGAV.” You are “right on” with your evaluation and comments regarding the SBC leadership's suspcion of the BGAV.
Suspicion is usually rooted in ignorance and denial, both of which run rampant among the SBC leadership. Note that I refer to the “leadership,” not the membership. This, in itself, somewhat explains why only a handful of SBCers end up attending the annual conventions, running the affairs and making the decisions. Everyone else feels disenfranchised. Until the SBC becomes more inclusive and less exclusive, nothing will change and the ignorance and suspicion will continue to prevail.
