ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A team from Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, Va., will be among a variety of music, dance and dramatic performers during the 16th Baptist Youth World Conference, to be held July 17-21 in Singapore.

The conferences, held every five years, typically draw thousands of youth from about 100 countries.
Other performers this year include choirs from the Baptist Church of Mizoram and Lairam Baptist Church, both in Northeast India; Nagapellas, an acappella choir from the Indian state of Nagaland; the Okinawa Power drummers and dancers from Japan; and a traditional dance group from the Tedim Baptist Convention youth department in Myanmar.
Meanwhile, the Baptist World Alliance has released the theme song, “Reach!”, to be used at the conference.
