Thank you for your editorial suggesting that there are ways to provide theological education in a more effective and efficient mannger for Virginia Baptists [“Theological opportunity?” Herald, Dec. 14].
Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond would be eager to discuss cooperative ways of providing theological education for Virginia churches, ranging from off-campus certificate level courses offered online or at a distance to on-campus accredited master and doctoral level courses.
I am sure our friends at other programs supported by the Baptist General Association of Virginia (Leland, RASNet, Southwest Virginia Christian Leadership Network and others) would be supportive of providing Virginia Baptists with a full array of cooperative options in theological education. Virginia Baptists deserve nothing less.
