Lauren Jones Mayfield, to Highland Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky., as associate pastor for young adults and missions, effective July 1. She comes from the pastorate of Lynnhurst United Church of Christ in Louisville.
Josh Miller, to Highland Park Baptist Church, Austin, Texas, as director of congregational music.
Elizabeth Palacio, dean for student development in the Division of Student Life and a faculty member at Baylor University, Waco, Texas, appointed as special assistant to the president on diversity.
Jon Roebuck, resigning after 17 years as pastor of Woodmont Baptist Church, Nashville, Tenn. He will become executive director of Belmont University’s Institute for Church Leadership, a newly created entity designed to equip church leaders for entrepreneurial thinking and innovative means to meet the modern needs of the local community and culture at large.
Brett Younger, to Plymouth Church, Brooklyn, N.Y., as senior pastor, effective June 1. For the past eight years he has served as associate professor of preaching at Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta.

Andrew Arndt, ordained to ministry on April 17 by Garfield Park Baptist Church, Indianapolis, Ind.
Hundley Harkleroad, ordained to ministry on April 17 by First Baptist Church, Griffin, Ga.
Dusty Smith, ordained to ministry on April 17 by First Baptist Church, Gladewater, Texas, where he serves as youth and families minister.
DEATH
Michael Don Menasco, 44, died April 13 in Midland, Texas. At the time of his death he was executive pastor of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland. He is survived by his wife, April; daughter, Kylie; son, Brett; and parents, Jeff and Donna Menasco.
