STAFF CHANGES

Jeff Davenport, now serving as pastor of First Baptist Church, Hurricane, W.Va. Previously he was pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Covington, Ky.

Nathan Dunman, to First Baptist Church, Lubbock, Texas, as college pastor. He comes from Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Robinson, Texas, where he was youth pastor.

Daniel Farris, concluding his tenure as minister of music at Lake Shore Baptist Church, Waco, Texas.

Shelby S. Jones, to Oakland Baptist Church, Gum Spring, Va., as youth minister.

William Curtis “Curt” Kruschwitz, to Goochland (Va.) Baptist Church, as pastor, effective in February. He comes from First Baptist Church, Waco, Texas, where he served as associate pastor for college and community missions.

Alan F. Miller, to Orange (Va.) Baptist Church, as pastor, effective Jan. 1. He has served as associate pastor for the past eight years.

Ned Allyn Parker, concluding his tenure as pastor for children, families and young adults at First Baptist Church, Seattle, Wash.

Nolan Porter, concluding his tenure as senior pastor of Salem Avenue Baptist Church, Rolla, Mo., to accept a chaplaincy role in Victoria, Texas.

Alicia Porterfield, now serving as associate pastor for adult education at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, Huntington, W.Va.

Eric Porterfield, now serving as senior minister of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, Huntington, W.Va. Previously he was senior pastor of Winter Park Baptist Church, Wilmington, N.C.

Linda Rackliffe, to Chester Congregational Baptist Church, Chester, N.H., as pastor.

Katie Stamps, to Ball Camp Baptist Church, Knoxville, Tenn., as director of children’s ministry.

RETIREMENT

Brad Hill, retiring after 18 years as pastor to the deaf at West Hampton Baptist Church, Hampton, Va. 

ORDINATION

Stefanie Litzler, ordained to ministry on Nov. 13 by Shearer Hills Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas, where she serves as children’s minister. 

DEATH

Paul Duaine Eppinger, 83, died Nov. 10, in Arizona. He was an American Baptist pastor who dedicated his life to peacemaking and reaching society’s most marginalized. He served as a missionary to Japan and held pastorates in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Kansas and Arizona. He was instrumental in the founding of the Arizona Interfaith Movement, an organization of 24 religious groups, which he led for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Sybil; four daughters; two granddaughters and four grandsons.
