I agree with Jim Denton’s reply [Herald, April 1] to the article, “Airlee Court votes to stay the course.” The article was not accurate in the facts of Journey Church’s part in this situation. This misinformation gave an unwarranted negative perception of Journey Church’s role. As Jim indicated, what was the urgency in printing an article without investigating both churches part?
This article was about the exploration of the viability of combining both churches initiated by Airlee Court. This situation had a potential of being a win/win for both churches. God’s work at Journey Church will not be stopped by this decision. I pray that Airlee Court Church will not have to close its doors because of too few members to sustain its work in the community it serves.
