DEATH
• Retired Virginia Baptist pastor John Chauncey Gindlesperger died in Leesburg on Sept. 11 at the age of 82. He served as pastor of East End Church, Bluefield, W. Va., and Mount Hope Church, Ashburn, for 31 years until his retirement in 1992. He was survived by two sisters, Laura Moors and Vera Stutzman and nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held Oct. 16 at Leesburg Community Church, Leesburg.
