They were assisted by some members of the Riparian Woman’s Club. This was done in loving memory of Dana Jordan, granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. George Braswell. Braswell, a native of Emporia, was a member of Main Street and served for four years as a missionary in Iran. He was a professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and currently serves as professor at Campbell University.
