Peter L. du Plessis has been elected missions team leader for the Richmond Baptist Association.
Du Plessis was elected to the position, which is the equivalent of director of missions, at a special called meeting of the association on March 10. He assumes the post March 21.
Du Plessis had been pastor of Staples Mill Road Baptist Church in Glen Allen since 1995. Earlier he was pastor of Main Street Baptist Church in Christiansburg, Rose Union Baptist Church in Piney River and Clifford Baptist Church in Clifford. He also has been associate minister/minister of education at New Bridge Baptist Church in Sandston and pastor of a church in Dallas, Texas.
