Alan Stanford has been elected vice president of the John Leland Center for Theological Studies in Falls Church by the school's board of trustees, effective April 1.
In his new position, Stanford will provide administrative leadership when Leland's president is away from the center's main campus, will help raise funds for the center and will teach classes in pastoral ministries.
Stanford will continue his role as general secretary of the North American Baptist Fellowship and as pastor of First Baptist Church of Clarendon in Arlington, in whose facilities the Leland Center's main campus is housed.
