A retired Virginia Baptist pastor is seeking experiences of mission volunteers to be compiled into a resource for churches.
Ray Allen, retired pastor of Blacksburg Baptist Church in Blacksburg and a mission volunteer himself, is collecting “interesting, inspiring or humorous” anecdotes from any Virginia Baptist who has taken a mission trip either with his or her congregation or through Virginia Baptist partnership missions. He is especially interested in stories about trips to Austria, Brazil and Italy, three of Virginia Baptists’ partnership countries.
After they are compiled, they will be made available to churches to use in promotion of mission trips.
Anecdotes may be sent to Allen at [email protected], at 1080 Mead Valley Rd., Moneta VA 24121; or at (540) 297-4539.
