CULPEPER — Josh Lyons was recently named executive director of Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community.
Prior to joining the staff of CBRC, Lyons served on the management team at The Chesapeake, CBRC's sister community in Newport News.
Lyons is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, where he received a bachelor of science degree in health services administration. His administrator in training internship was with Westminster Canterbury on the Chesapeake Bay, after which he received his licensure as a nursing home administrator for the state of Virginia.
Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community has served Culpeper and the surrounding area for 60 years. As a continuing care retirement community, CBRC offers apartments and cottages as well as on-site assisted living and nursing residences. Amenities include a fitness room, game/computer room, library, walking paths, clinic, therapy services and more. The community is situated in a pastoral setting with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the surrounding countryside. CBRC employs just over 120 people.
CBRC is one of four continuing care retirement communities operated by Virginia Baptist Homes.
