Let me tell you that what is happening in Italy with the help of Virginia Baptists and your teams is wonderful.
We had Virginia choirs in many churches in these last weeks singing in our towns, many helping us in the Martin Luther King project. In all the cases it has been an extraordinary experience for our churches and a unique occasion for mission in all the cities.
Then we have youth activities going on in Italy and in Virginia. Daniele Podestá as intern [at Webber Memorial Baptist Church] in Richmond is learning a lot, and the trip lead by Giuseppe Miglio [president of the Italian Baptist pastors' fellowship] is going to be a blessing for many youth. The same is true for the group in youth work which is visiting various areas here in Italy in these days. You cannot imagine how important have been all these things for us. The youth work has become the priority in many of our churches and for the first time since decades we have enthusiasm and passion for youth work also in churches that only some time ago appeared to have no future.
Please share with John Upton and all the Virginia Baptist staff our gratitude for your work with us and may God assist you in all your mission work in the future as well
Thank you!
Anna Maffei, President, Italian Baptist Union
