Jesus had four named brothers (James, Joses, Simon and Judas) and unnamed sisters. Were these siblings among Jesus' followers? John 7:5 says, “For even his brothers did not believe in him.” Apparently what his sisters believed didn't matter.
Also, what about the wives and children of the 12 disciples—were they followers of Jesus?
At one time Jesus' family thought him insane.
I cannot recall any of these people being present at the the crucifixion or in any of the resurrection accounts.
I suppose we will never know whether these people were followers.
Apparently it was a man's world! When the disciples returned from lunch and found Jesus talking to the unnamed woman at the well, “they marveled that he talked with a woman (not this woman).
The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city and said to the men, “Come and see a man who told me all things I ever did.”
