At Bishop Barber’s NC church, Pete Buttigieg works to woo black voters

An Episcopalian who has spoken at length about faith and has worked to articulate an alternative vision of morality to that of the Christian right, the Democratic presidential candidate is far more popular with white voters and has struggled to woo blacks. Whether he won them over in Sunday’s visit to Bishop William J. Barber’s racially diverse Greenleaf Christian Church remains to be seen.
